Deskripsi
Have you ever been confused when you have to pose? No problem! A professional photographer knows some tricks that can make you look beautiful. In the past, the poses of the people photographed were always directed by photographers. Importantly, the pose must be quite serious and record the characters and expressions. The background and elements that were photographed serve to add to the atmosphere, according to the creative concept that has been formed by the photographer. The book contains about 170 ancient postcards from the author's collection depicting portraits of people, accompanied by explanatory narratives. They come from a variety of ethnicities and social classes. The collection of images is grouped based on several themes that illuminate various aspects of the population on the island of Java in the period around 1900-1940. The models photographed are generally photographed as handsome and beautiful people who deserve respect. Most of the people enshrined in this book are not known by name. They are a collection of anonymous figures from a time ago, who are now accidentally united into a single historical document. There is one thing in common: everything is silent towards us. If they could talk, what message would they convey? Do they feel happy or uncomfortable? Times have changed, but people's moods then and now remain the same. Through the message preserved in the visual legacy they left behind through this book, we seek to be more familiar with and recognize generations a century ago.
