Walok, meaning love in one of the many Dani dialects, is a photographic journey into the soul of the Dani people of the Grand Baliem Valley, Irian Jaya, indonesia. Stephane Sensey magically captures the peoples of the 'land lost in time' through a series of gripping black and white portrait photographs. Each photograph is a recording of history, a snapshot of a rich culture that remains true even in today's rapidly homogenising world.
