Deskripsi
The constitution as the supreme law is a crucial feature for a country to maintain the constitutionality of citizens and protect human rights. Indonesia, as a country that has a new constitution, which is the result of amendments, has also played an essential role in efforts to safeguard human rights with the establishment of the Constitutional Court as a new court tasked with being the guardian of the constitution, guardian of human rights, guardian of democracy and guardian of citizens’ rights. Since the Constitutional Court was established on August 13, 2003, many cases have been decided by the Constitutional Court in its development. As a result, some Constitutional Court decisions have become landmarks, making it easier for the public to understand the importance of the Indonesian Constitution and the Constitutional Court. In addition, the decision of the Constitutional Court has a significant effect on the interpretation of the constitution, which so far has only been understood as a written text which is very difficult for ordinary people to understand.
