Deskripsi
hlm. 352-356 ; Between 1996 and 2005 Indonesia has experienced fundamental changes. But it is too early to formulate final answers concerning the nature and direction of these changes. This book is not about mainstream politics, macro economy or normative discussions of what a transition should be. Instead, it concentrates on the ways changes have taken place within Indonesian society. Therefore, essays in this book cover a wide variety of interrelated fields: the experience of crisis, law and legal certainty, the history of regionalism, communal conflict and deforestation, civil society and Islam, the student movement and public memory, and recent developments in the media and communication technology.
