Sebastian Rudd is not a general lawyer. He has an office in a bulletproof van, complete with Wi-Fi, a bar, a small refrigerator, comfortable leather seats, a hidden gun cabinet, and a fully armed driver. He had no law firm, associates, associates, and only one employee--- and a bodyguard, clerk, confidant, and golf caddy. He lived alone in a very comfortable small apartment, drinking bourbon, and carrying a gun. Sebastian defends people the other lawyers don't care about: the addicted young man accused of harassing and killing two little girls, the criminal awaiting the death penalty, the homeowner who was arrested for shooting at the SWAT team who mistakenly stormed his home. Sebastian chose these clients because he believed everyone deserved a fair trial, although for that Sebastian had to resort to deceitful means. He hates injustice, dislikes insurance companies, banks, or big companies. He did not believe in the government and laughed at the views of ethical behavior in the judicial system. Sebastian Rudd is one of the most unique, most eccentric figures in John Grisham's book. The story is exciting and thrilling.
