According to Kabat-Zinn, mindfulness is the awareness that arises by directing attention to one goal in the present moment. Attention can be directed to one object that is in the current moment. The object can be in the form of breath, body, sound, scent, or whatever activity is being done in the form of single tasking. By practicing mindfulness we can focus on one specific object.
