Deskripsi
Page 372 ; Venous disoders are common. The diseases can present with significant morbidity, high healthcare cost, loss of producticity, and most importantly, a reduction in quality of life. Our interest in venous diseases began with the first symposium on venous problems in 1976. How much we have achieves needs a reassessment. It is with this in mind that we formulated this recompilation book to provide readers a glimpse of advances in this field. Venous Disorders is a recompilation of previous presentation on venous topics from the last five Northwestern vascular symposia sponsored by the Division of vascular surgery, Feinberg School of medicine, Northwestern University. We regrouped the chapters to make the book a relevant review of current advances in diagnosis and treatment of venous disorders. There are 32 Chapter, catagorized under 9 section on different topics of interest including general considerations, progress in treatment of varicose veins. acute deep-vein thrombosis, venous thromboembolism, venous valve repair, venous reconstructive surgery, endevenous interventional therapy, acute subclavian vein thrombosis and chronic venous insufficiency.
