This book will deepen your understanding of why one country suffers from poverty and the other doesn't. With a congested historical timeline, this book argues that poverty was not only about economics but also politics. More precisely, It is about the effect of institutions on the success and failure of nations. I highly recommend this book for a social science student to have a good understanding of poverty and the reasons behind it, especially in the context of a developing country!
