I decided to read this book from the library shelf because it's only 300 pages. It's quite short. However, I lost interest in the middle of the novel. Then, I took a week-long break before finally reading it again. Thank God, I was able to complete it. This book talks about the journey of Jim, who escapes from his sorrow after his love dies tragically. With the help of "Sang Penandai," he embarks on a long expedition from the northern continent to a legendary place called "Tanah Harapan." Throughout this journey, he searches for his own story, experiencing many struggles, including memories of his beloved and even life-threatening situations. I actually enjoyed this book; it gave me a new perspective on ocean expeditions that have been undertaken for many centuries. However, to be honest, I didn't like how the author wrapped up everything with an unexpected twist without further developing how the twist might happen in detail. It seemed rushed. But overall, I enjoyed reading this.
