Great approach to understanding love, intimacy and connection. the potrayal of fuyuko irie and her relationship with other characters summarized women's experience in society, alienating, exploitative, competitive. definitely a feminist text.

I don’t really get the hype on this author. Two of her books left me hanging at the end. I thought that the character will overcome her trauma. But no, it gets depressing at the end.
